The History of Rome Podcast
Our pick of the week is an audio podcast that covers the complete history of the Roman Empire. From the founding of the city of Rome until the fall of the West Roman Empire in 476.
Mike Duncan produced “The History of Rome” from 2007 to 2012 and published 179 episodes. Most episodes are about 15 to 25 minutes long.
As episodes retell the history of the Roman Empire in chronological order and have meaningful episode titles, you would not necessarily need to listen to all episodes but you could jump to a particular episode that covers a time frame that is interesting to you.
The podcast is well researched and covers Roman history in depth. Audio quality is also good.
The podcast is highly recommended to anyone interested in ancient history or the Greco-Roman world. And the best thing: it is free.
